What type of event is Clan Siege?
Compete for territory in Dimension X! In Clan Siege, clans will be pitted against a series of opposing clans in a competition for glory and radical rewards. Players will face members of the opposing clans in asynchronous PvP battles, earning points that contribute to the clanβs overall ranking on the Clan Siege Leaderboards.
When and how often is Clan Siege held?
Clan Siege events begin on a Friday and end on the following Monday, check your in-game events to see when one is being held.
The first round starts at 10AM UTC (3AM Pacific, 6AM Eastern) and the first hour is reserved for matchmaking, after which the actual battles will begin. Rounds are 8 hours long, and there are 10 total rounds in the whole siege event. The event ends on Monday at 6PM UTC (11AM Pacific, 2PM Eastern).
What will be required to participate?
Players need to be in a clan, which is possible after completing Adventure 6-16 and building a Clan Hall in the lair. The Clan Siege building will also become available and must be built in the lair to gain access to the event.
Clans will need at least 5 active members (online within the last 7 days) to qualify for participation. Qualifying clans will be automatically placed in matchmaking at the start of the event, while other clans will not be put into matchmaking until they reach at least 5 active members.
A clan will not be removed for dropping below 5 active members anytime during an event. But, if the clan disbands, they will be removed from matchmaking.
What happens during a Clan Siege event?
Your clan will be matched with an opponent clan every 12 hours during the event. Rematch prevention will keep your clan from facing the same clan for at least 5 matches. There will be a short period of matchmaking between matches during which no one can battle.
Within each match, each player has 10 PvP battles to complete and earn points for the clan. Each battle will be against a different member of the opponent clan. You wonβt face the same member twice and, if the clan doesnβt have enough members to give you a new opponent, you will get a free win.
Winning or losing will adjust the Danger Level, +25% for a win, -25% for a loss.
What is Danger Level?
Every match starts at 0% Danger Level. Winning a battle increases Danger Level by +25% and losing decreases it -25%, but it will never drop lower than 0. The Danger Level is a multiplier to both your opponent's power and the points you can earn; tougher opponents, more points!
Example: After winning 1 battle, your Danger Level will increase to 25%. Opponents you fight will have an additional +25% Power and the points you earn from winning or losing will also be +25%.
Which squad will my opponent use? Can I choose my defense squad?
Clan Siege defense squads will be the last squad used in Clan Siege, at the time of matchmaking (in the very first Clan Siege, defense squad will be the player's top 5 strongest heroes). Once matchmaking is complete for a match, defense squads will be locked in and will not change, even if the player upgrades a hero or does a Clash battle with a different squad.
For attacking, your squad will not be locked-- you will be able to upgrade your heroes and change squads, if desired.
How will the points and rankings work?
At the beginning of the event, clans will receive a Matchmaking Rating (MMR) based on their Total Clan Power. During the matchmaking phase, clans are matched with an opponent of similar MMR.
Winning a Siege battle will earn Personal Points for the individual (losing will earn a small amount of points).
The match winner is whichever clan earned the most total Personal Points by the end of the match. If there is a tie, the winner will be whichever clan was ranked higher at the start of the match.
After each match, the clan's MMR will be updated and clans will be given Siege Points (event leaderboard points). The MMR changes and event points awarded will vary, depending on victory/defeat and the difference in total strength between the two clans.
On the leaderboard, clans are ranked based on Siege Points (event leaderboard points) earned, NOT total Personal Points earned.
Clans should aim to be as highly ranked as they can be, consistently, to get the best results.
What rewards can I win?
Rewards for Clan Siege will include unique titles, heroes, bits, and other resources. Make sure you participate! Clan members must participate and earn some points to qualify for the clan-wide rewards.
Your Personal Point requirement will be shown in the rewards tab. If you do not meet the minimum personal point requirement for the clan-wide rewards, you will receive the highest rewards that you did qualify for.
How will clans and individuals be matched with each other?
At the beginning of the event, clans will receive a Matchmaking Rating (MMR) based on their Total Clan Power. During the matchmaking phase, clans are matched with an opponent of a similar MMR. The MMR will move up or down at the end of a match based on victory or defeat.
Matchmaking for the next 9 matches is based on a clanβs MMR as well as rematch prevention.
As an individual, you will face a variety of opponents from the opposing clan if the clan has more than 11 members. If the clan has exactly 10 members, you will face those 10 members. If the clan has fewer than 10 members, you will face all the members and get free wins for the remaining battles.
Is there a Power Mutation for Clan Siege?
We are trying out a Power Mutation for Clan Siege and may continue to do so depending on player feedback and event performance.
What happens if players leave or join a clan in the middle of Siege?
Players will be able to leave or join clans at any time during a Siege event. If a player leaves their clan in the middle of a match, the points they earned in that match will be removed from the clan's match total. Furthermore, those points will not transfer over to a new clan.
Unfinished battles count as 0 points each. If the player is the defender in any opponent battles, they will stay as a defender until the end of the match.
If a player joins a clan while a match is in progress, the player will not receive any opponents until the next match begins.
Can I remove inactive players?
Currently, the option to kick/remove players is disabled while a Clan Siege is in progress.
What happens to my rewards if I switch Clans in the middle of a Siege?
Players will earn rewards based on the rank of the clan they are in at the end of the event, regardless of if they leave and join a new clan during the event. The points that a player earns as an individual, in any clan during the event, is tracked and used to determine if a player meets the points required to get the clan-wide rewards.
